GENERAL RULES

The CFAA Rules shall supersede all rules:  If a conflict of rules occurs, use the CFAA rules.  Decisions made by the CFAA Board of Directors are final.

ENTRANT ELIGIBILITY

Must be a current or retired FULL TIME PAID FIREFIGHTER

CALIFORNIA FIREMEN’S ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S EVENTS:
Men and Women will compete together except where there are separate Men’s and/or Women’s classes.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Substitutions must be done through the CFAA befoe the California Firefighter’s Summer Games.

All substitutions must be competed prior to the first competition of that team (or Doubles team).

Substitutions may only be made:

1.)  For an entrant who cannot attend the California Firefighter’s Summer Games
2.)  For an entrant who has a verifiable injury which prevents participation in that event.

Substitutions for Team Events must be made by the Team Captain.  A completed Entry Form and signed waiver for the substitution will be required.

CANCELLATION OF A SPORT

Any sport or event may be cancelled by mutual agreement between Host and CFAA.  Host shall initiate steps to notify all entrants and return appropriate fees.

Conduct Off the Field
The California Firemen’s Athletic Association sincerely wants all athletes to have an enjoyable and memorable time in the Host City.  However, we are very serious about the reputation of our Games and the reputation of our profession.  We stand committed to not allow the foolish actions of a few to jeopardize our goal of presenting a professional attitude and image for our competition.

Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated either before, during or after competition.  Any physical or verbal assault on officials, competitors, spectators, or the staff will be met with any action deemed appropriate by the California Firemen’s Athletic Association Board of Directors.
