BOWLING
DIVISIONS: | If you are planning to compete in 2024 California Firefighter Summer Games, you must register on this site and complete the entire process no later than May 31, 2024. Once payment has been processed, you will receive a receipt and confirmation e-mail.
WE WILL BE CHECKING WRIST BANDS FOR ALL SPORTS. IF YOU ARE COMPETING IN A MULTI-DAY EVENT, YOU MUST HAVE A WRIST BAND BY THE SECOND DAY. YOU MUST CHECK-IN AT THE HOST HOTEL AND PRESENT YOUR OFFICAL FIRE DEPARTMENT I.D. CARD Men’s Singles, Doubles, Team and all events. Divisions based on entering averages. |
RULES: | Singles and Doubles: Each bowler/team will bowl 3 qualifying games. In each Division, the top bowlers/teams will advance to the semifinal round. The number advancing will be determined by the number of entrants. In each Division, the top 4 bowlers/teams of the semifinal round will advance to the championship stepladder-style round. Team: Each team will bowl 4 qualifying games. In each Division, the top 4 teams will advance to the championship stepladder-style round. All event winners are determined by adding the qualifying round scores of bowlers from all three events. |

NOTES: | ENTERING AVERAGES: Must be used in the following order as they apply: * 2023-2024 USBC Winter Book Average (submit your USBC ID #). * 2022-2023 USBC Winter Book Average (submit your USBC ID #). * 2023 USBC Summer Book Average (submit your USBC ID#). * 2022 USBC Summer Book Average (submit your USBC ID#) * California Firefighter Games Average * Rated by Tournament Committee A USBC Book Average is a bowler’s highest league average, provided that 21 games are bowled in that league. The California Firefighter Summer Games average is the average of a bowler’s last 2 appearances in the Games. In steps 1, 2 and 3, a bowler’s entering average cannot be more than 10 pins below his/her existing California Firefighter Games Average on record. If so, the Tournament Committee will combine both averages to determine the participant’s entering average. Example: * 2023-2024 USBC Winter Book Average = 170 * California Firefighter Games Average 190 * Entering Average = (170 + 190)/2 = 180 |
